Well, in your bedroom at least! That's the one bit of the universe you CAN control. Check out how many things you have on standby – TV, CD player, computer. Now turn off as many as poss.
It only takes a little energy from us to flick all those switches, and if we all switched off our standbys – oh and lights too when we're not in a room - our carbon footprint would shrink quite a bit. Which has to be good for us all, don't you think?
3. Pester your local MP.
Polar bears and lemurs and trees and dolphins can't make their voices heard - but we can! It's easy to find your MPs address and write to him about eco things that worry you. Go to this website www.writetothem.com and put in your postcode. You can even do it on-line from there. Oh, and remember to put your own address on so they can get back to you!
4. BE A BAG DESIGNER
SAY NO to plastic packaging! Get a cool bag to use and re-use. Even better, get a super plain cotton one and draw your own SAVE THE PLANET design on the outside. Decide to do it with your buds and you could have a cool night in decorating your bags – YAY!
5. Power Yourself!
Don't take lifts for short distances. Tell the parentals you want to walk or cycle. Hey, you never know who you might bump into on the way (swoon swoon)!
And you're not just helping the planet – you're keeping you fit too!
6. Design a Protest T-shirt

Find a plain Tee - white or cream are best, and use felt tips to make a statement about something you care about.
Or make your very own Seriously Sassy T! You could copy some of the cool drawings from the book covers.
